The lens features a 6-group, 7-element optical system with double-sided aspherical lenses, and its design is reminiscent of early interchangeable lenses from the 1960s and 1970s.
The mount is Nikon Ai-S compatible, with a built-in CPU and Ai coupler. This allows for use with a wide range of camera bodies, from the analog SLRs of yesteryear to the latest digital SLRs.
It consists of 7 lenses in 6 groups, weighs 320 grams, and offers a 52 mm filter size. A screw-in lens hood is available as an option.
The Color Skopar 28mm / 1:2.8 SLII-S is available in two versions: one version is completely black, the other version has a silver ring on the front lens.
