Samyang 35mm T1.3 AS UMC CS Fuji X

The Samyang 35mm T1.3 AS UMC CS is a standard manual focus lens, designed for mirrorless cameras with an APS-C or MFT (MicroFourThirds) sensor. The flow of light is devised based on the uniqueness of the distance from glass to sensor in mirrorless cameras to create optimal performance. The maximum aperture of T1.3 even allows you to shoot in very dark conditions.

The optical design utilises Samyang's exceptional know-how: the lens features 9 glass lens elements in 7 groups, including one extra-low dispersion and two aspherical elements. This minimizes aberration and unnecessary light dispersion and delivers high resolution from the centre to the corners of the image. The lens has Samyang's Ultra Multi Coating which optimises light transmission and prevents flare and ghosting. The minimum focusing distance of this lens is very short at 38 cm. If you use the full T1.3 aperture, it is possible to completely lift the subject from the background, ideal for portraits.

The 9-blade iris creates a round aperture for natural looking bokeh and round out of focus highlights. The body is made from a strong aluminium alloy and is therefore compact and sturdy. Its large 62-mm filter size allows ample light into the lens, to make the best use of the available light.

The Samyang 35mm is carefully designed for professional film and video works so the focus gear ring is installed for follow focus system. You may change the aperture quietly and smoothly with the uncoupled aperture gear ring. The T number guiding the actual amount of light transmission and distance scales are marked on both sides of the lens to film much precisely.
