The Samyang 16mm T2.2 ED AS UMC CS II VDSLR is a compact and fully manually adjustable lens specially designed for digital cameras with an APS-C format sensor. The lens is equipped with a tooth ring that allows you to use a follow-focus system without additional tools. This allows smooth adjustment of focus. The aperture ring works smoothly and silently. This allows for very comfortable and effective control of the sharpness or depth of field while filming.

For sharp and true-to-color images
The lens features thirteen lens elements divided into eleven groups, including one hybrid aspherical lens, one glass afserical lens and one extra-low dispersion lens. The aspherical lens elements minimize chromatic aberrations for exceptional image quality and high contrast across the entire frame, even when the aperture is fully open. The extra-low-dispersion lens element prevents flare and ghosting. Samyang's Ultra Multi Coating ensures an even transmission of light and reduces the appearance of lens flares and ghosting.

The difference between T and F stops
The most important difference between T- and F-stops is the way in which the maximum brightness of a lens is measured. T-stops are measured by the light transmitted through the lens. With F-stops, brightness is calculated from the aperture diameter and focal length. The method of calculating the T-stop is more accurate. This explains why a lens with an indication in T-stops appears less bright than a lens with an indication in F-stops.
